Kaat is currently working on a new series of paintings with the worktitle: 'Girls, Guns & Horses'
Planned to exhibit in 2011-2012.
Besides her artwork she has also released her debut album 'Snowdog' this May 2011, as a singer-songwriter under her musicname: Kaat van Vlaanderen

Kaat Waterschoot in TV show 'Sterren op het doek'! (Stars on canvas), summer of 2008
In this TV-show 3 artist are challenged to paint a portrait, of the same famous dutch person. The artists do not know who this person is until the first shooting, and they have 2 weeks to finish the portrait. The celebrity will not see any of the portraits until they are revealed, and can choose one to keep. The ones that are not chosen will be auctioned for charity. The TV-show is hosted by Hanneke Groenteman. Kaat was a participant in the show on the 7th of August 2008, making a portrait of Brigitte Kaandorp, one of Holland's best comedians. Ms. Kaandorp chose Kaat's portrait as her favourite. The show can be seen by a link on the on the 'Portraits and Workshops' page.

Project
Catch a glimpse of Kaats', probably lifelong, project "wegwerpbabes" - song 'Guys 'n Dolls' written & performed by Kaat.

The first official edition of the book: "Ik ben Kaat!", written by childbook author Tim Gladdines is
handed over to Kaat Waterschoot. Book illustrations by Doesjka Bramlage.
Kaat gives a commented powerpoint presentation on her latest work series "Beautiful World". A series of portrait paintings that has many similarities regarding the book's theme.
Oct. 2007 - The second childbook "Ik ben Kaat, uitvinder", in which Kaat's last name is also used in an illustration, is published.
